Carversville Farm feeds, teaches, and nurtures the community. But they were hungry to do even more. The foundation reached out to us to reimagine their website and design packaging for their artisanal food products that line the shelves of stores in the Philadelphia and beyond, helping expand their impact and increase their reach.
Carversville Farm is an organic farm unlike any other, and not just because it’s also a nonprofit. We got close to the farm, the people, and the animals to craft a brand, website, and packaging design that made Carversville Farm Foundation’s unique mission sing.
From nutrition to farming to education, Carversville’s mission is diverse and far-reaching. We set out to develop a flexible, yet consistent design system to communicate the foundation’s key messages through web design, packaging design, and everything in between. Fern, a beloved and mischievous goat that welcomes visitors to the farm, became the unifying face of the brand. After meeting him ourselves, it was clear he was born for the job.
We designed packaging for their line of artisanal food products to be sold throughout Philadelphia and beyond. When translating the friendly, sophisticated brand aesthetic to package design, we never lost sight of the farm’s important mission, integrating subtle nods through details like a safety seal that reiterates the positive community-based message of the farm.
